Soo Yeah Studio

What’s our secret to delivering fresh and engaging creative? Well, we love to get up close and personal with our clients to really understand their creative needs (and of course have fun doing it). Whether you’re starting from scratch or you’re looking to breathe new life into your brand, we work closely with you to develop striking designs that tell your story, make and impact and get you noticed. We might even end up being friends after.

What we do

Founded by 2 best friends that love design, Soo Yeah Studio brings over 30 years’ of design experience to projects for clients big and small, across all industries and sectors. We’ve been around long enough to know what we’re talking about. From building identities to launching campaigns and designing interiors, we transform brands and get our clients noticed. We don’t have a one-size-fits-all approach, we understand that each client and project is different, and that’s what our toes. We approach each project with fresh eyes and open arms.

Using our network of talented creatives and design connoisseurs, we bring hand-picked expertise to each project to provide specially tailored services and create an end product that you and your audience will love and can’t stop looking at. Whether you need a range of services for a large-scale project, or just an expert hand with one or two things, we’d love to chat about how we can help. In the meantime, take a look at some of the work we’ve done for our other clients. If you’d like to see any other specific examples, or any video or animations, we have those too. Just let us know.

Our process

We know each project and client is different, but to give you an idea of how the creative process might look like, we’ve put together this handy step-by-step guide. You could choose to use all of the services mentioned below, mix and match a few, or just choose one. Whatever you need and whenever you need it, we’ll work with you to make it happen. We aim to please.

1. Getting to know you

To get started, we’ll get to know you over coffee (or tea, if you prefer). We’ll talk about your business, your dreams and aspirations, and what you’re looking to achieve. From there, we’ll go away and develop a proposal, including timelines, budgets and a breakdown of costs.

2. Doing our reasearch

Once we get the go-ahead, our first job is to know your business – because the more we know, the better job we can do. We’ll ask a lot of questions. You might even learn some things about yourself. What is your brand history? Who is your customer? Who are your competitors? What are the relevant trends? We’ll also share inspiration, ideas and references to get an idea of what you like.

3. Creative Development:

Part 1 Now this is the fun part. For branding projects, we’ll start to build your brand by defining your values and how you want to talk about yourself. We’ll also develop two or three different visual styles for you to consider. For art direction, video or animation projects, we’ll provide different treatments, editing and animation styles for you to choose from. Once we’re all happy with a direction, we’ll share a PDF summary to keep us aligned.

4. Creative Development:

Part 2 Now is the time to tell us how you really feel. Working with your feedback and preferred styles from the previous stage, we’ll now develop the creative assets. For branding projects, this includes all the essential branding bits: developing colour palettes, typography, imagery style and logo options. For art direction projects, we’ll create imagery examples and a conceptual narrative, and for video or animation projects, we’ll provide the first draft of a video. Across all disciplines, we’ll also develop a top-level tone of voice to capture the way your brand or campaign speaks.

5. The finishing touches

We’re always happy to hear more feedback, and make sure you’re totally happy. We’ll take on any comments on the developed creative and make amendments. If needed, we’ll also share any other ideas and approaches that might add to the creative. We’ll then send you the updated assets – whether it’s brand guidelines or video, image or artwork files – to make sure you’re happy and excited with the final outcome.

6. Over to you

To wrap up the project, we’ll meet with you (over coffee or a celebratory drink) to share the final assets and any user guidelines you’ve requested. This is also a great opportunity for you to ask us any questions and find out how to use everything. We’ll then prepare and package all the working files and give them to you, ready to put out in the world and dazzle your audience.
