Strong Island is a bi-annual fitness event in Canary Wharf. Collaborating with fitness influencers and celebrities like Dame Kelly Holmes and Davina McCall, Ben Coomber, and fitness brands like Barry’s Bootcamp and Third Space. It’s aim is to inspire and motivate attendees to push their limits and reach their fitness goals. The event features a ton of activities and challenges, from high-intensity workouts and meditation sessions to nutrition workshops and is led by a team of industry experts.
As the design agency responsible for the event branding, Soo Yeah Studio had a huge task at hand. We had to create a visual identity that captured the grit and determination that defined the event, while also being bold and impactful enough to stand out from the crowd. We developed a design concept that would make a lasting impression on attendees and evoke the dynamic atmosphere of the event.
To achieve this, we chose a striking colour palette of black, white and a vibrant red, which immediately conveyed a sense of energy and intensity. The typography was designed to be in-your-face and bold, with sharp angles and a repeating style designed to give the sense of movement. We also incorporated striking graphics, including images of athletes in action, to further emphasise the event’s focus on strength and perseverance.
Soo Yeah Studio’s involvement in the Strong Island event was massive! We were involved in everything from developing the event name and branding to creating a wide range of branded materials, including posters, advertising, animations, digital graphics, and social media assets. Our design concept successfully captured the essence of the event and helped to create a memorable and impactful experience for all attendees.
